Hier steht alles: was gut ist, was fehlt, was als Nächstes passiert.

AI Agents SEO: Our Agents Audited Their Own Website

We trained our AI agents in SEO. Then we pointed them at our own website. The result: 7.9/10. Not a dream score – and that is exactly why we are publishing it. Everything is here: what works, what is missing, and what happens next.

Warum wir uns selbst auditieren

Why We Audit Ourselves

Our agents just finished their SEO training. The obvious final exam: their own website. If you sell AI agents that are supposed to be good at SEO, you should show what they actually deliver – on your own site, with real numbers.

The principle behind it is our motto: human with machine beats both human and machine. The agents crawl, count and measure – faster and more thoroughly than a human could in an afternoon. The human prioritizes, decides and approves. Including this article.

And because an audit that only reports wins is not an audit: we are publishing the weaknesses too. 7.9/10 is not 10/10. That is exactly the point.

Prüffeld 1: Content-SEO mit SMarTrContent

Audit Domain 1: Content SEO with SMarTrContent

Unser Content-Agent SMarTrContent hat alle 20 Blog-Artikel durchleuchtet. Gesamtscore: 7,9/10. Die Einzelbefunde:

Was sitzt

Kein einziges Bild ohne Beschreibung.
  • Sauberes Keyword-Mapping. Ein Haupt-Keyword pro Artikel, keine Kannibalisierung zwischen den Seiten.

Was nicht sitzt

  • Alt-Texte zu generisch. Vorhanden ist nicht dasselbe wie gut. „KI-Agent Bild" hilft niemandem – konkrete Beschreibungen fehlen vielerorts.
  • 1 Meta-Description fehlte komplett.
  • 5 deutsche Artikel ohne interne Links. Sackgassen im eigenen Blog. Dieser Artikel macht es übrigens gerade anders.

Our content agent SMarTrContent examined all 20 blog articles. Overall score: 7.9/10. The individual findings:

What holds up

  • 20/20 articles with clean H1 structure. Exactly one main heading per article and language.
  • 20/20 articles with valid JSON-LD. Schema.org markup on every page, machine-readable for search engines.
  • 200/200 images with alt text. Not a single image without a description.
  • Clean keyword mapping. One main keyword per article, no cannibalization between pages.

What does not hold up

  • Alt texts too generic. Present is not the same as good. "AI agent image" helps nobody – specific descriptions are missing in many places.
  • 1 meta description missing entirely. Embarrassing, but found.
  • 5 meta descriptions too long (over 160 characters) – Google truncates them in search results.
  • 5 German articles without internal links. Dead ends in our own blog. This article, by the way, is doing it differently right now.

Prüffeld 2: Indexierung & Authority mit SMarTrMarketing

Audit Domain 2: Indexing & Authority with SMarTrMarketing

Erledigt

  • Sitemap mit 36 URLs – vollständig und erreichbar.
  • IndexNow live: Key hinterlegt, Ping beantwortet mit HTTP 200. Neue Seiten werden Suchmaschinen aktiv gemeldet.
  • og:image von 509 auf 269 KB optimiert. Social-Vorschauen laden jetzt fast doppelt so schnell.
  • GitHub-Organisation live – ein erstes öffentliches Authority-Signal.
  • PageSpeed: TTFB 0,10–0,20 s. Der Server antwortet schnell. Die Technik-Basis stimmt.

Offen

SMarTrMarketing checked whether search engines can find us at all – and whether the web takes us seriously.

Done

  • Sitemap with 36 URLs – complete and reachable.
  • IndexNow live: key in place, ping answered with HTTP 200. New pages are actively announced to search engines.
  • og:image optimized from 509 to 269 KB. Social previews now load almost twice as fast.
  • GitHub organization live – a first public authority signal.
  • PageSpeed: TTFB 0.10–0.20 s. The server responds fast. The technical foundation is solid.

Open

  • LinkedIn company page – does not exist yet.
  • AI tool directories – listings still pending.
  • Google Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools – not set up yet. Without them we are partially flying blind on indexing.

Die ehrliche Liste: Was als Nächstes passiert

The Honest List: What Happens Next

An audit without consequences is decoration. This is our work list – in this order:

  1. Prerendering to fix the empty SPA body. The main reason Brave and DuckDuckGo barely show our site: crawlers without JavaScript see almost nothing. Static HTML snapshots solve this. Top priority.
  2. Fix meta descriptions. Add the missing one, shorten the five that are too long.
  3. Add internal links. The five orphaned German articles get connected.
  4. Unify sitemap trailing slashes. Sounds pedantic, but prevents duplicate content signals.
  5. Introduce hreflang. So search engines can cleanly tell German and English apart.
  6. Set up Google Search Console and Bing. No more flying blind.

Every item is prepared by the agents and approved by a human. Like everything here.

Was das für kleine Firmen heißt

What This Means for Small Businesses

You do not need an SEO agency with a six-month contract to know where your website stands. An AI agent finds missing meta descriptions, generic alt texts and orphaned pages in minutes – all of them, not just the obvious ones. What it cannot do: decide what benefits your business most. That remains your job. This division of labor is the core of AI agents SEO.

The same agents that ran this audit also work for our customers – the available packages are in the shop. And if you first want to understand how such an agent even works, start with the basics article What are AI agents?

Because the homepage is a single-page app: crawlers without JavaScript see an almost empty HTML body. The solution is prerendering – static HTML snapshots for crawlers. It is the most important next step from the audit.

The SPA problem in detail

The main site renders client-side: the initial HTML response essentially contains an empty root element plus a script tag. Googlebot renders JavaScript (with delay), but many crawlers – including the sources used by Brave Search and DuckDuckGo – primarily index the initial HTML body. Result: for them, the site barely exists. Fix: prerendering or static snapshots per route, served to crawlers or built as static artifacts for everyone. Static blog pages like this one are not affected – they deliver complete HTML in the first response.
